HHSC is currently seeking employee input for its next Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR)
All state agencies are required to submit a formal request for funding. This Legislative Appropriations Request or LAR for short, summarizes the specific funding requests for all programs within the Health and Human Services Commission.
While the 87th Session of the Texas State Legislature is more than a year away, our agency is currently working on formulating its next LAR.
As those that work on the frontlines at HHSC, our ideas are VITAL – we know what our agency needs and this is a great way to make our voices heard!
To submit ideas and recommendations, send an email to: CFOStakeholderFeedback@hhsc.state.tx.us
In your email, be sure to include the following details:
Your name and a contact information.
A clear, concise description of the recommendation. (example: $1000.00/month raise, more staffing, funding to make overtime voluntary, etc.)
What need would be addressed by this recommendation and the expected impact or benefit to the state or the people we serve. (example Reduction in staff turnover, better standard of living for workers, better services delivered, etc.)
The deadline for submitting recommendations is Friday, November 22nd. HHSC will review and consider all submissions as it further develops the LAR.
