We are personnel from all three military branches of the Texas Military Department: the Texas State Guard, the Texas Army National Guard, and the Texas Air National Guard. We are united in our commitment to serve and protect the citizens of Texas.
We will focus on three main principles:
- We will advocate for legislative oversight of state missions. We believe that the Texas Military should provide genuine service to the public good, not posturing for political gain.
- We will lobby the Texas legislature to ensure appropriate funding of state missions. By ensuring our force has the highest quality training and equipment, we will remain prepared to fulfill missions in service of our fellow Texans.
- We will campaign for excellent state benefits for service members. This will serve to attract and retain the best and brightest of the state.
We are organizing and mobilizing to:
- Ensure a guaranteed end date for all members on state active duty
- Restore state tuition benefits for Texas Military personnel
- Win immediate access to health care that state employees receive through the state ERS Healthcare system, with state-subsidized ERS Healthcare for our families while on Texas Military state mobilization
- Require legislative oversight of state Texas Military mobilizations
With state agency employees across Texas, we are building a union which gets stronger with every new member that joins with us. We will continue our proud history of organizing to keep on winning!
