Bus Details
The scheduled departure times and pick-up locations are listed below. The times listed are the times that the bus must leave the pickup point, so plan on being there at least 15 minutes before the time listed. The buses will also be there 15 minutes before departure to board.
Please contact your TSEU organizer or local TSEU office to make sure we know where you plan to board the bus.
If you are not taking a bus to Lobby Day, please plan to meet at Wooldridge Square Park (900 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78701) at 9:30am. Contact Ron Day at rday@cwa-tseu.org if you have any questions.

Food
A box lunch will be provided when you get to Austin. We will not stop for breakfast, so eat before you come or bring snacks with you. On the way back if most folks want to stop, the driver will take a short break and allow everybody to stretch their legs and get food.
What to wear
Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as we’ll be walking on the march and all around the Capitol. The weather is unpredictable so it’s a good idea to bring an umbrella, drinking water, sunscreen or a hat, and a jacket.
Wear black! We’ll be selling black Lobby Day t-shirts on the bus and in Austin for $15. If you purchased a Lobby Day shirt in advance, you will receive it at the registration table.
What not to bring:
Don’t bring large bags or pocket knives into the Capitol! Everybody will have to pass through a metal detector before entering the Capitol. Large bags and purses are screened in x-ray machine, which slows down the line. Please leave everything you can on the buses. They will be stored safely there by the driver.

Legislative Visits
We are grouping you into teams for the legislative visits based on where you live. We will let you know what team you are on when you sign in on the bus or at the registration table in Wooldridge Park.
After the Rally, you’ll look for the sign for your lobbying team, and gather together before heading into the Capitol for the appointments with legislative offices.
If you are interested in a more detailed prep session, contact your organizer or info@cwa-tseu.org to register for a one-hour Zoom meeting on either Thursday April 3 at 6pm or Saturday April 5 at 11am. We’ll be discussing Lobbying Do’s and Don’ts, TSEU’s Main Issues for Lobby Day visits with legislators, info TSEU will provide about each legislator, and what to expect on Lobby Day.
