Lobby Day 2023 – RECAP

Wednesday, April 12 – WE WERE THERE!

With several hundred tickets sold, along with numerous other fellow state employees in attendance for the March and Rally, this year’s State Employee Lobby day was as loud and energetic as ever! We’ll have our own full coverage coming soon along with our usual, poster-style center spread in the next TSEU UPDATE. For now, check out some of the coverage we received from local media outlets.

OUR WORK IS NOT DONE!

TSEU members know that Lobby day is only one part of our campaign for a real pay raise, a COLA for state retirees, better state services and an end to privatization of state services. If you came to Lobby Day, STAY INVOLOVED; if you are new to the fight, GET INVOLVED TODAY!

What is State Employee Lobby Day?

Lobby Day is our chance to take a stand for the future of Texas and for our jobs. It is a critical part of our ongoing fight for economic and social justice for state workers and all Texans. On Wednesday, April 12th, we marched, rallied, and then met with our legislators to present them with our program. TSEU members displayed a massive show of strength to tell the legislature that we will fight to restore funding for public services, to protect state employee benefits and to win a real across-the-board raise. Everything continues to be at stake: our jobs, our pensions, our health care, our pay and the services we provide. Thanks to all who attended and to those that sent their support! Our Fight Continues – GET INVOLVED!
