Labor Day is our chance to take stock of our accomplishments and to have some fun before returning to the challenges that lay ahead. We’ll have some food on hand but feel free to bring a main or a side dish, drinks or dessert, or just bring yourself! Area legislators and their staff are invited and should be in attendance! This fall, who we elect will be the decision-makers over our pay, benefits and the services we provide. It is critical that we get more involved in state level elections to influence legislators to take action on our issues. At TSEU’s Political Organizing School, you will learn:
- An overview of area and statewide candidates running for state office
- How the political process has a direct affect on our working conditions
- How by working together, we can change the direction of Texas politics
- How political involvement influences the decisions made by legislators.

This is a great way to meet your fellow TSEU members while helping your union with mail-outs to members, light paperwork, and/or other activities around the office.
